
TEHRAN Feb 18(Shana)--Phase 12 of the massive South Pars gas field has produced $1.6 billion in revenues over the past one year, the managing-director of Pars Oil and Gas Company said.
Ali-Akbar Shabanpour said more than $7.3 billion has so far been spent on the Phase 12 development of the giant reservoir which Iran and Qatar are jointly operating.
He said that the phase is already generating $17 billion in revenue for the country through its gas and condensate although it has yet to become fully operational.
Shabanpour also said that four trains of phases 15&16 of South Pars are producing around 36 mcm/d of sweet gas.
The first train of phases 17&18 of South Pars is supplying 6 to 7 mcm/d of sweet gas, according to Shabanpour.
