Iran says falling oil prices have had no effects on its offshore crude oil production projects.
Saeid Hafezi, the managing director of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC), has emphasized that Iran currently has no oil without a client in Persian Gulf.

Iran is currently producing at least eight types of crude oil in its offshore fields, Hafezi said. Six types are currently in Irans basket of oil exports.

He further said Iran has drawn a new policy to attract investors for technical jobs over its offshore oil and gas projects.

IOOC plans to hold a tender through the framework of engineering, procurement, construction and finance (EPCF) to encourage domestic and international private sector companies to take up projects in the Persian Gulf, the official was quoted as saying by the Persian-language newspaper Forsat-e Emrooz.

Hafezi added that the tender will cover repair work as well as the renovation and maintenance of Irans platforms as well as pipelines and other related infrastructures.

IOOC is an offshoot of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) in charge of oil and gas projects in the Persian Gulf excluding the South Pars energy hub. The fields that are under the auspices of IOOC account for a majority of Irans overall oil production.
