Iranians will dash enemies' hopes in Wednesday rallies: spokesman

Hosseinali AmiriTehran, Feb 9, IRNA Interior Ministry spokesman said Monday that the presence of Iranian people in Monday rallies to commemorate the 36th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution would dash hopes of the enemies.
Speaking to IRNA, Hosseinali Amiri said that the Iranian nation feels a sense of duty to determine its own destiny and will therefore willingly participate in Feb. 11 rallies.

Pointing to the critical security situation of the region and the nuclear talks underway between Iran and the six world powers, Amiri said that this year's rallies are of special significance.

Amiri said that high turnout of people could also signal support for Iranian nuclear negotiators who he said are in a decisive diplomatic conflict to protect the national interests.

'When they see the support and presence of the people in the scene, the enemies will undoubtedly put aside their excessive demands and give up imposition of unfair sanctions on Iran.'
