Munich, Feb 6, IRNA Irans Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif conferred with the former United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan here on Friday.
The two are in the city to take part in the Munich Security Conference which is to convene February 6-8 in Bavaria.
The meeting with Annan took place just after closing of talks between Zarif and his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier and before him the US Secretary of State John Kerry.

Annan and a number of former world leaders are now active in human rights and universal peace issues within the non-organization group called The Elders.

Based on an IRNA report, Iran and US experts are currently engaged in discussions at the sideline of the conference.

As he told reporters earlier, Zarif is to conduct detailed negotiations on Iran?s nuclear issue with all parties involved in Munich meeting.

He is also to attend on Sunday a panel discussion on Iran with Kerry, Steinmeier and French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius in Munich Security Conference.

Hundreds of leading decision-makers and prominent senior analysts from dozens of countries are slated to participate at the confab to dwell on various top political and security issues, notably terrorism, the Ukrainian conflict and the Mideast crisis hotspots.
