Irans Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif ( AFP)[/caption]Darussalam, Feb 5, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Thursday that many countries have established active economic cooperation with Iran and the UN sanctions have nothing to do with Iranian economic ties with the outside world.
Zarif made the remarks in a joint press conference with his Tanzanian counterpart Bernard Membe.
Exchange of visits between political and economic delegations help expansion of mutual cooperation and also prepare the ground for export of technical and engineering services to Africa, Zarif said.
Referring to his meeting with Tanzanian officials, Zarif said that grounds for expansion of cultural, economic and political cooperation are well prepared.
Export of engineering services to Africa is in line with implementation of resistance economy and it is expected the foreign ministry to successfully carry out the mission, he said.
Common challenges require to adopt a unified stand vis-a-vis the global hegemony, he said.
On death sentence being handed down by the Court of Justice in Iran, he said the country is a barrier for huge some of drug-trafficking in the world and thousands of its soldiers have been martyred by drug-traffickers, he said.
Iran strongly deal with drug trafficking, he said.
?Since the money of drug trafficking will be sent to terrorists, it is our pride to stand against them,? he said.
The Tanzanian foreign minister, for his part, said his country is to broaden cooperation with Iran in various fields such as agriculture and energy.
In the meeting with the Iranian foreign minister, the two sides discussed on expansion of mutual regions, regional and global developments such as continued talks between Iran and G5+1, he said.
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is to conclude his African tour and come home later in the day.
