Tehran, Feb 2, IRNA � Vice President of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines called for amending Iran-Turkey preferential agreement, saying that the executive feedback from private sector shows the amendment of the document is necessary.
Talking to IRNA on Monday, Pedram Soltani said there is no doubt that Iran should sign preferential agreements with neighboring countries and other countries with which we have trade exchanges, but, unfortunately, in some details such as choosing the commodities groups, we have not been careful enough.
Soltani said Iran is neither a member of World Trade Organization (WTO) nor has it signed multilateral trade agreements with preferential trade so Iran's economy has become 'the loneliest' in the world.

'Iran's gains from preferential agreement with Turkey is much less than Turkey's, actually it is one eighth; this shows the agreement has been carelessly worked out,' he added.

Currently, Iran has preferential agreements with twelve countries, but national economy is not benefitting well enough from them.
