Dust lingers on Ahwaz for the fifth consecutive day and the weather forecasts predicting rain have not come through forcing residents to remain home.
The morning shift of schools has been closed and government offices are only offering their services after 10 AM.

Dust can be seen as far as the horizon and all streets are covered with dust. Residents have posted images of their dust covered city on social networking sites.

Morning school shifts have been closed so that school staff can remove the dust from the desks and other furniture in the schools before the arrival of the children.

Buses have been equipped with medical equipment and parked in various parts of the city to provide assistance to citizens.

Dezfool representative has told parliament that the dust has run many Khuzentanis away from their homeland.
