MOSCOW, January 29. /TASS/. Trade turnover between Russia and Iran can reach $2-2.5 bln in 2015, the general director of the Russian-Iranian business council Rajab Safarov said on Thursday at RosIranNefterkhim-2015 international conference.
He added that current economic cooperation between Russia and Iran is nearly zero.

"Iranian export to Russia totaled $260 mln last year while Russia exported goods valued at $600-700 mln. Total trade turnover between the two nations amounted to $963 mln. We've probably reached the bottom of the turnover decline," Safarov said.

"Iran wants to buy Russian equipment not merely because our nations have good neighbor relations but also in view of sanctions," he added.
