TABRIZ, Jan. 18 (MNA) Secretary of the Supreme Council of Iran's Free Trade, Industrial & Special Economic Zones has said Aras Free Zone has the potential to cooperate with neighboring countries especially Armenia.
Presidential Chief Advisor and Secretary of the Supreme Council of Iran's Free Trade, Industrial & Special Economic Zones Akbar Torkan said expansion of Aras Industrial Site in Iran-Armenia border is among measures taken in order to develop ties with neighboring countries.
Addressing managers of the organization, Torkan said Aras Free Zone has the potential to make developments in industry, adding that increasing the industrial site in Iran-Armenia border can advance industrial progress in that area and increase economic ties among countries including Armenia, Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Pointing to the addition of northern parts of Ardebil Province to Aras Free Zone, Torkan said four areas have been suggested to Supreme Council of Free Zones of which one is to be chosen to promote relations with Azerbaijan Republic.
