TEHRAN Jan 16(Shana)--The oil reserves in place in Yadavaran oil field, jointly operated by Iran and Iraq, have been revised up to more than 34 billion barrels, managing-director of Petroleum Engineering and Development Company said.
The initial estimates put the capacity of oil in place in Yadavaran field at 17 billion barrels. In the new estimates, this figure has risen to more than 34 billion barrels, Abdolreza Haji-Hosseinnejad said.
He said that a master development plan (MDP) has been drawn up for the field, adding that the fields output will reach 300,000 b/d after development. Located 70 kilometers southwest of the oil-rich city of Ahvaz, Yadavaran is currently producing 50,000 b/d of oil.
