Islamabad, Jan 13, IRNA � Spokesperson for the US Department of State Jen Psaki said her country is looking at the timeline of the nuclear talks with Iran very seriously.
In an exclusive interview with IRNA on Tuesday, the spokesperson said, US Secretary of State John Kerry, who is in Islamabad for strategic talks, will leave Islamabad for Geneva this evening to meet Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Wednesday.
She said, 'When things are challenging, it takes a little more time and the fact is that both sides felt that there was enough of opportunity and enough of agreement to move forward when they extended the talks in November 2014.'

There are lots of technical details so both teams are getting prepared to seriously discuss the remaining issues and reach a comprehensive deal before the deadline of June 30th, She added.

According to the spokesperson, Karry is hopeful that tomorrow meeting in Geneva will be an opportunity to have good discussions with FM Zarif about the path forward and the nuclear teams (Iran and G5+1) will be meeting following Kerry-Zarif meeting.

Psaki said, 'It is an important time for the US and Iranian top diplomats to get together. They have been able to get to know each other in the course of the last year and they are always in touch and now they are going to meet for another time in Geneva.'
