'The topmost important thing is scoring goals, which always makes me happy and that is what happened during the game's first half in which we were the prominent team in the field,' he said in a press conference after the game.
The Portuguese head coach of the Iranian team said that the teamwork and not the individual performance of the payers is what matters to him next to scoring goals.
'In each game there are often a number of shining stars, but the excellent work of the defense line, cannot be ignored,' said Queiroz.
Heavyweight Iran football national team on its first leg of Asian Cup 2015 defeated rival Bahrain 2-0.
The Iranian team scored one goal in each half and gave a very good start on Asian Cup 2015 championship.
Iranian midfielder Ehsan Hajsafi netted the first goal (minute: 45+1) in the first half and Iranian striker Masoud Shojaee netted the second goal on the second half (minute 70).
Iran, Bahrain, Qatar and UAE play in the same group.
Australia hosts this year Asian Club 2015.
