TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian cement factories exported nearly 80 million tons of their products to international markets in the first 9 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 - December 22).
Director of the Sales Department at Kerman Cement Industries Group Behrouz Saeed said on Wednesday that 79,382 tons of cement were exported in the first nine months of the current year.
Saeed told a group of industrialists and traders that Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Iraq and Egypt were the main destinations of Iran's exported cement.
During the last Iranian year (ended on March 20, 2014), Irans total cement production was announced as 69.4 million tons, which was 0.9% lower than the previous years 70.1 million tons production.
Irans share of world cement production in the year 2013 was 1.87%.
China with 2 billion and 300 million tons of cement production in 2013 ranked first, and India and USA with 230 and 77 million tons in that year ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Iran exported cement to 24 countries including Iraq, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Pakistan, Qatar, Turkey, the UAE, Georgia, Oman, India, and China in the past Iranian calendar year.
