Muscat, Jan 7, IRNA The 15th Joint Economic Commission of Iran and Oman was held in Muscat Wednesday, headed by the two countries' trade ministers.
Oman's Industries and Trade Minister Ali al-Sunaidi and the Iranian Industries, Mines and Trade Minister Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh were present in the meeting.
They agreed in a joint press conference after the commission meeting that there are still a lot of unexplored potentials for further expansion of bilateral trade.
The Omani minister said that major part of the discussion in the 15th Joint Economic Commission was focused on ways and methods that should be employed at the service of boosting bilateral trade.
The Iran-Oman trade reached one billion US dollars in 2012-2013 fiscal year.
Al-Sunaidi acknowledged that cooperation in air transportation and launching of a new air route to one of the Iranian cities other than Tehran is on the agenda.
