Beirut, Jan 5, IRNA Some 45 Lebanese religious, cultural, political and media figures will attend the 28th International Islamic Unity Conference in Iran.
Representative of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in Lebanon Sheikh Hessan Abdullah told IRNA that among the characters are Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah Sheikh Naeim Qassem, Lebanese parliament speaker special envoy Khalil Hamdan, political deputy of Amal Movement leader Sheikh Hassan al-Messri, Secretary General of World Union of Resistance Ulema Sheikh Maher Hammoud, former Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour and many other known Lebanese figures.
The 28th International Islamic Unity Conference will start 3-day work from January 7 to 9, 2015 in Tehran with participation of 300 Shia and Sunni personalities.
Sheikh Hessan Abdullah said that holding the conference in current situation, when Islamic world is facing with conspiracies and plots of the Takfiri groups has a double importance.
He added that Palestine is on top of agenda of the conference.
