Tehran, Jan 5, IRNA � President Hassan Rouhani cabled a congratulatory message on Monday to the new Tunisian President Al-Baji Qayid El-Sebsi on his victory in the recent presidential elections.
In the message, Rouhani expressed hope that the two nations would witness deepening of bilateral amicable relations.
'I would like to seize the opportunity and render the supports of the Iranian government and nation to Tunisian noble and Muslim nation on this occasion,' President Rouhani said in the message.

He expressed hope that bilateral relations would further bolster during his tenure and wished for success of the Tunisian government and nation.

Tunisian people cast their vote on December 21 and elected El-Sebsi as the new president.
