Madrid, Jan 2, IRNA -- Spanish Foreign Minister has said US President Barack Obama is serious to solve Iran's nuclear issue and access to an agreement in this concern will have important outcomes in other problems in the Middle East including the war in Syria.
Talking on the prospect of change in 2015, in an interview with the Spanish Newspaper 'El Pais' which was published on Friday, Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo said,' I believe that in the 2 years left from Obama's presidency, US will adopt a more active diplomacy. The change in US Cuba relations shows that Obama wants to implement his programs in foreign policy.'
'Obama aims to be known in history as a president who has made the most efforts against atomic weapons, so he will adopt a strong position to achieve an agreement on Iran's nuclear program,' said the Spanish minister.
Stressing that such an agreement will have important results in the Middle East and the war in Syria, Garcia-Margallo said Iran can have an important role in achieving a political solution in Syria.
