Beirut, Jan 1, IRNA - Iran's Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fathali on Thursday held separate meetings with three senior military officials of Lebanon to explore avenues for bolstering military cooperation between the two capitals
In separate meetings with Lebanon's Defense Minister Samir Moqbel, Army Commander General Jean Kahwaji and Army Intelligence Chief General Edmond Fadel, the Iranian ambassador underscored that Tehran is fully ready to offer military aid to the Lebanese army and help the country in fight against Takfiri groups.
Fathali also congratulated the three officials as well as Christian military forces and citizens of Lebanon on the occassion of the anniversary of the birth of Jesus (PBUH) and arrival of the new Christians' year, 2015.
The Iranian diplomat also discussed regional and international developments, particularly present situation in Lebanon, with the Lebanese military officials who in turn, welcomed Iran's pivotal role in safeguarding regional security and tranquility.
