Bibi makes quick reaction to Palestines ICC request

The Israeli regime has made a quick reaction to a request by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for Palestine to join the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday that the Palestinian Authority should fear being in a unity government with Hamas.

Bibi further accused the resistance group of war crimes, which he likened to those perpetrated by the ISIL Takfiri group in Iraq and Syria.

He also reiterated claims about Israeli forces being "the most moral army in the world."

Abbas signed a request to join the ICC after the UN Security Council rejected a Palestinian proposal for statehood on Tuesday.

The US strongly opposed the ICC bid in a statement, calling the move counterproductive.

It does nothing to advance statehood aspirations," read the statement by the US State Department.

Palestinians are seeking to create an independent state on the territories of the West Bank, East al-Quds (Jerusalem), and the besieged Gaza Strip and are demanding that Israel withdraw from the occupied Palestinian territories.

Tel Aviv, however, has refused to return to the 1967 borders and is unwilling to discuss the issue of al-Quds.

Palestines latest effort for statehood at the Security Council was faced with the US opposition, which brought about Israels gratitude, calling the rejection a blow to the Palestinians.
