Larijani says enemies unable to block Islamic world progress

Beirut, Dec 22, IRNA Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said the progress of Islamic states is the main cause of enemies' hostility.
Addressing an academic gathering at the Department of Law in Lebanon University on Monday, he outlined the history of Islamic World as well as regional and international situations.


He said the creation of such destructive Takfiri terrorist groups as Daesh pursues the goal of hindering advances by the Islamic countries.

He referred to Iran's access to nuclear technology for peaceful purposes as well as nano-technology as examples of such progress.

He also stressed the performance of many constructive and active movements like Hizbullah and Hamas which play an influential role in both the region and the world.

Larijani, heading a political and parliamentary delegation, arrived in Beirut today on the second leg of his regional tour which has already taken him to Syria.

During his stay, he is scheduled to meet his Lebanese counterpart Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Tammam Salam, officials of Palestinian groups.

He will also attend a press conference.

The Iranian parliament speaker will visit Iraq later.
