Beirut, Dec 21, IRNA Lebanon's Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Latif Daryan has expressed the the hope that negotiations between Iran and Saudi Arabia will start soon.
Upon arrival in Riyadh at the invitation of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz, he added that Tehran-Riyadh talks will promote good neighborliness among regional states.
Close ties between the two countries will bring about positive consequences for Persian Gulf littoral states which enjoy commonalities such as history, geography and religion.
Also welcoming negotiations between Lebanon's Hezbollah and Al-Mustaqbal Party in future, the grand mufti noted that the talks will positively contribute to developments in Lebanon.
