Tehran, Dec 15, IRNA � Expediency Council Chairman Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said in Tehran on Monday that knowledge-based activities are exigencies of today and future in developing states.
��'Real progress is always achieved out of science,' Ayatollah Rafsanjani told Kazakh Ambassador to Tehran Baghdad Amiriyev, adding that independence of the Central Asian and the Caucasus states was beneficial for the region.
He said diplomatic rationalism rules that countries achieve economic, cultural and political vibrancy in getting engaged with the world.

He highlighted the geographic and political specifications of Kazakhstan and said attention to development work, expansion of cooperation, and investment of private sector is of special importance.

Also, referring to laying tracks 20 years ago on the South-North corridor and the talks among Turkmen, Tajik , Kazakh and Iran presidents and the ceremonies held in Incheborun in that connection, Ayatollah Rafsanjani said soon, we will witness activation of commercial exchanges in the route from Indian Ocean to the North which will play an essential role in the world.
