TEHRAN (ISNA)- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani reiterated that Iran-Pakistan cooperation can pave the way for resolving regional disputes.
"Consultation and joint efforts of Iran and Pakistan can help settlement of regional problems," Rouhani said in a meeting with former Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari on the first international World Against Extremism and Violence (WAVE) conference here in Tehran.
"Tehran has always sought good relations and cooperation with Islamabad in different domains."
He also called on Pakistan as a victim of terrorism to act more seriously in fighting roots of extremism and violence.
Zardari, for his part, said mutual cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad benefits calm, security and stability of region.
