TEHRAN Dec 09 (Shana)--Iran plans to start distributing euro-4 gasoline in the oil-rich city of Ahvaz in southwestern Iran, a deputy head of the Department of the Environment said.
Saeed Motesaddi said the fuel distribution plan is part of efforts to reduce air pollution in this city.
He said that surveys show that the type of fuel and its distribution are a cause behind choking air pollution in Ahvaz. Ahvaz is the capital city of Khuzestan province where most Iranian oil fields are located.
Euro-4 gasoline is already distributed in major cities including the capital Tehran.
