Tehran, Dec 7, IRNA Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said Sunday that Foreign Ministry needs the academics for criticism and consultations on the country's foreign policy.
Zarif, however, noted that the criticism should be far from partisan and political bias.
Speaking in a ceremony held at the School for International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to mark the National Student's Day, the foreign minister said: 'In addition to getting familiar with all the schools of thought and the realities across the globe, we need to develop our own thoughts and beliefs.'
Zarif underlined the importance for the students of political sciences and international relations to equip themselves with the tools needed to know the circumstances in the Islamic Republic of Iran and the knowledge to predict the future events of the region and the world.
