US should ignore Zionist regime to clinch a deal in talks
Tehran, Dec 3, IRNA - Chairman of the Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said on Wednesday that US should put aside its spiteful stands about the Iranian peaceful nuclear program.
Rafsanjani made the remarks in a meeting with Italy's Deputy Foreign Minister Lapo Pistelli.
'If the US seeks to win consent of Zionist regime, talks will not bear fruit,' he said.

Iran nuclear program is of peaceful nature and seek to increase standard level of people's lives, he said.

During eight years of sacred defense, Iran proved that it is committed to religious beliefs as well as human principles and ruled out proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, he said.

Referring to stockpiling nuclear weapons by the Zionist regime and the crimes against humanity the Israeli authorities perpetrated in Gaza, he said the international community cannot tolerate the G5+1 and US to listen to the comments of those responsible for genocide of innocent Palestinian people whose nuclear threats has overshadowed the global law and order.

Referring to current unpleasant situation of the region and increase of terrorist groups, he said the intellectuals should take into account that restoration of stability and security in the Middle East region will bring social calm for many countries in the world.

They should not let the world's richest energy source turn into a center for warmongering of terrorist groups, he said.

Iran will spare no efforts to employ all its capabilities to help restore peace and stability in the region, Rafsanjani said.

In the past 35 years, Iran was under tough economic sanctions but the world witnessed that how the country overcame the problems and reconstructed the country, he said.

Iran had purchased choppers and military parts during war with Iraq but Italy ignored to deliver us these commodities due to the pressure exerted by the west, he said.

Ground for expansion of relations and cooperation between Tehran and Rome is well prepared and the country could enter to business deal with Iran independently, Rafsanjani said.

The Italian deputy foreign minister, for his part, highlighted Iran's stands in the region and the world and said ground for resolving issues and broadening of cooperation is prepared.

The world has reached the conclusion that it is not possible to resolve regional conflicts without Iran's involvement, he said.

Italy government and nation are eager to broaden political, cultural and economic relations and cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran, he said.
