Amir-Abdollahian leaves Tehran for Muscat

Tehran, Nov 30, IRNA Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian left Tehran for Muscat on Sunday.
He is scheduled to confer with Omani officials on ways to expand mutual relations and cooperation and the regional and international issues.
Tehran-Muscat strategic cooperation committee is to be held on Monday by the two countries deputy foreign ministers.

The last round of Tehran-Muscat cooperation committee was held in Tehran last year.

Relations between Iran and Oman has always been friendly.

After triumph of the Islamic Revolution in Iran some 35 years ago and after halt of political relations with the US, Muscat has played a mediatory role in resolving differences between the two countries.
