TEHRAN Nov 28 (Shana) --NIOC will facilitate exports and exchange of the electricity which is planned to be generated via gathering and burning associated gases as feedstock, deputy managing director of NIOC Ali Kardar said.
Speaking at a gas flare tender meeting Kardar said that for the first time NIOC has decided to hand over investment in associated gases gathering projects to private sector from top to toe.
In addition to gas flare projects, we are working on other projects including NGL, mini NGL and GTL; NIOCs deputy said, adding the company also plans to pave the way for private sector investment in projects like extracting ethane which is mainly related to petrochemical sector as well as building utilities and airport.
According to Kardar the volume of gas flare offered in the tender is estimated at 20 mcm, equivalent to one phase of South Pars gas field gas production.
