TEHRAN (FNA)- Iranian and Senegalese officials voiced their countries' willingness to utilize each and every capacity and potential to pave the ground for the promotion of all-out relations.


In a meeting between Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Morteza Sarmadi and Senegalese president's Special Envoy Tenor Diang on Sunday, the two officials vowed to do their best to widen and deepen mutual cooperation between the two sides in all aspects.

Sarmadi stressed Iran's scientific and industrial advancements and voiced readiness to broaden cooperation with other countries such as Senegal.

The Senegalese special envoy, for his part hailed Iran's rich civilization and culture and underlined the significant role of the country in resoling regional issues.

He expressed the hope that bilateral relations between the two sides would witness further expansion in near future.

Iran has long sought to boost bilateral ties and mutual cooperation with the African countries in a bid to help them with development.

Iran is also an observing member of the AU and has shown an active presence in previous AU summit meetings.

The country is considered as one of the AU's strategic partners along with India, Japan, China, several South American states and Turkey, while Tehran is also believed to be prioritizing promotion of its economic and political ties with the African states.
