Senegalese adviser reiterates Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) Tanor Dieng, an adviser to Senegals president and his special envoy to Iran, pointed to Irans influence in the region and said regional problems are not resolvable without Irans active role.
In a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for African and Middle Eastern Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Tanor Dieng talked about different bilateral, regional, and international issues.
Irans significant role in the region is obvious to the whole international community, Senegalese advisor said, expressing pleasure with his Iran visit.

He also briefed Amir Abdollahian on the recent developments in Western Africa, including the upcoming elections in the region and Ebola crisis.

The African politician further noted that problems of Africa are considered as an internal matter and cannot be resolvable from outside the region.

Amir Abollahian, for his part, pointed to the important position of Africa in Irans foreign policy, and praised Mr. Diengs efforts to develop and strengthen the ties between Iran and Senegal.

Referring to Irans scientific and technological achievements in different scientific and industrial fields, the Iranian deputy foreign minister emphasized Irans determination to help and cooperate with the Muslim country of Senegal in desired fields.

Iran has an embassy in Dakar, Senegal has recently introduced its new ambassador to Iran and will open its embassy in Tehran soon.
