Sareh Javanmardi Asia's top female athlete in 2014

TEHRAN, Nov. 22 (MNA) Sareh Javanmardi has been chosen as the best female athlete of 2014.

Her selection as the top athlete is due to her performance in Incheon Asian Games and winning two gold medals.


In addition to Sareh Javanmardi, Irans Paralympic Committee won APC award in 2014. This honor is due to Irans remarkable performance in the Men's Team Championship in Incheon Asian Para Games.
Awarding ceremony will take place in Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) on December 2 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.


The Incheon 2014 Asian Para Games took place from 18-24 October in 2014 and The Iranian team finished in fourth place in the overall standings after winning 37 gold, 52 silver and 31 bronze medals to surpass the team's achievement at the 2010 Games in Guangzhou. About 4,500 athletes from 41 countries competed in this round of competetions in 2014.
