Mashhad, Khorasan Prov., Nov 20, IRNA Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan in the Islamic Republic Asanbeyk Osman Aliyev and Governor General of Khorasan Razavi Province in a meeting on Wednesday called for establishment of direct Bishkek-Mashhad flight in an effort to expand cultural, economic and social channels.
Aliyev said today the level of bilateral economic relations between the two countries is highly important so that development of ties with Iran is better than promotion of regional relations.
He said capabilities of Khorasan Razavi can play a key role in boosting bilateral relations especially that Kyrgyzstan has cultural proximity with people of Khorasan Razavi.
The Kyrgyz ambassador said the existing communication channels are not enough for establishment of relations, adding that under the status quo establishment of direct flight will be practical.
Referring to the official invitation extended by governor general of Osh Province of Kyrgyzstan to his counterpart in Khorasan Razavi, Aliyev said Osh is among the most important Kyrgyz provinces which embodies over half of the population of the country, adding that relations with Khorasan Razavi can produce fruitful results for the development of the region.
Meanwhile, Alireza Rashidian pointed to the fact that priority of President Rouhanis government in development of relations at international level is expansion of ties with neighboring countries. He said on this basis focus has been made on expansion of provincial economic, cultural and trade ties with these countries.
He said given the key role and position of Khorasan Razavi province in Iran, effective measures and steps have been taken in this direction.
He pointed to some of the provincial capacities such as 6000 industrial units, 170 universities and institutes of higher education, mining and agriculture, technical and engineering companies which have accomplished projects in Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and Qatar.
