Tehran, Nov 20, IRNA � Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said petrochemical gasoline is no more distributed in the country adding that he was surprised to hear some people saying there was no difference between Euro 4, Euro 2 and non-standard gasoline.
��Speaking in a televised interview, he pointed to the efforts made by vice president and head of the Department of Environment (DoE), Masoumeh Ebtekar, in this regard and said she did a great job and insisted on consumption of Euro 4 gasoline but production of Euro 4 and its consumption in cities and even its import is a hard task.
He said the petrochemical gasoline is no more distributed and the money spent on purchasing Euro 4 gasoline in return for production of petrochemical gasoline is equal to exports revenues.

The oil minister noted not all the air pollution in Tehran is caused by gasoline consumption, adding that it is mainly due to consumption of unconventional fuels by some factories, non-standard cars using gasoline and a large number of cars in the capital city.

Zanganeh further pointed to his recent visit to Qatar, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates where he discussed oil issues. He said he had also conducted consultations with Venezuelan and Iraqi oil ministers.

�For the forthcoming OPEC session we try to become familiar with the viewpoints of each other in order to become able to follow targets in line with our national interests.�

He further remarked that the south Persian Gulf countries are interested in preserving their share in the market and are concerned about reducing their share.
