Mashhad, Nov 16, IRNA Three copies of the worlds tiniest printed Qurans were donated to the Central Library of Astan Quds Razavi.The copies which were printed in Egypt, are legible without the aid of magnification, Muhammad Reza Fazel Hashemi, the Head of Manuscripts Office of the Organization of Libraries, Museums, and the Documentation Centre of Astan Quds Razavi announced on Saturday.
Throughout history, precious and unique Quran copies have been written by noted artists and calligraphers which are, nowadays, the flagships of the worlds museums and libraries, he added.
Astan Quds Razavi, holding 20,000 Quranic works, is a matchless center of divine books in the Islamic world, he noted.
Nowadays the librarys manuscripts treasury, accommodating some 95,000 Quran copies and manuscripts is one of the greatest scientific hubs in the Islamic world which is considered by many codicologists and researchers.
