Minister: Iran, UNESCO determined to expand cooperation
Tokyo, Nov 13, IRNA Education Minister Ali Asghar Fani who is in Japan for cooperation with UNESCO said that this cooperation can be in exchange of training experts and holding of workshops and expert level seminars.
Fani who was speaking with the Director General of United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNSECO) Irina Bokova on the sidelines of the World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development said that the two sides can expand cooperation in educational field and Iran can share its experience in the field with UNESCO.
He said that Iran has highly qualified training experts and technicians that the UNESCO can use in its regional workshops and training seminars in Irans neighboring countries.

The Director General UNSECO Irina Bokova remembered the Iranians exemplary hospitality during her recent visit of Iran and the exalted status of the Iranian culture and civilizations, announcing UNESCOs readiness for any king of training cooperation with Iran.

The three-day UNSCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development which started on Monday in Nagoya, Japan, aimed at highlighting the role of education in guiding the societies towards sustainable development ended its activities on Wednesday night issuing a communiqu.

The Iranian Education Minister Ali Asghar Fani attended the conference atop a ministerial delegation.

Some 800 officials from 120 countries round the world and various international and scientific organizations attended the event.
