Tehran, Nov 12, IRNA Ten agreements on bilateral cooperation will be signed between Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan during upcoming visit to Baku of President Hassan Rouhani, it was reported on Wednesday.
Presidnet Rouhani is due to visit Azerbaijan within days to discuss promotion of Tehran-Baku cooperation in the fields of economic, transport, tourism and energy activities.
Chairman of Iran-Azerbaijan Joint Economic Commission Mahmoud Vaezi has recently said that the Iranian president will depart for Baku by the end of the current week.
During President Rouhani's stay in Baku, the Iranian and Azerbaijani officials will also discuss broadening of bilateral ties in the fields of custom relations and using resources of the border river Aras.
The Aras River, also known as Araz, runs in Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Iran.
It rises in Turkey south of the city Erzrum flowing mostly eastward for around 1,070 km through dry and desolate countryside and then empties into the Caspian Sea.
