Iran attends Belgrade Book Fair in Serbia

Iran is participating in the 59th International Belgrade Book Fair in Serbia by displaying various published works of the country.
Iran has offered over a hundred book titles in different categories at the fair which kicked off on October 26.

On Iranian Literature in the Past (Persian-English) by Abdol Hossein Zarrinkoub, From Sa'adi to Aragon (French) by Javad Hadidi, and Pig's Bone and Leper's Hands (Russian) by Mostafa Mastour are among the Iranian books on display.

This years fair is hosting 897 participants including 494 direct exhibitors and 446 represented companies.

Australia, Russia, Brazil, Germany, Spain, Japan, Bosnia, India and Austria are among the countries taking part in the event, with China being named guest of honor.

The International Belgrade Book Fair is known as the oldest, largest and most visited literary event in southeast Europe.

Several prizes will be awarded during the fair including Publisher of the Year, Publishing Project of the Year, Children's Book of the Year and The Most Beautiful Book.

The event is scheduled to run until November 2.
