Tehran, Nov 1, IRNA 441 foreign and domestic companies are taking part in the International Exhibition of Electric Power, an official said here on Saturday.
According to Deputy Energy Minister Houshang Falahatian, the exhibition will be held on November 8 in Tehran for four days.
He said 98 foreign companies will be present in the event.
The exhibition is to allocate a special space for new inventions, he added.
The official noted that all the equipment needed for distribution of power as well as 95 percent of those for power transmission are manufactured inside the country.
Given the present capacities of the country, he said, the exhibition is to mainly focus on exports by and cooperation with private companies.
He said Iran was among 8 world countries to manufacture its own power plants.
Iran is presently offering engineering services to 20 countries, the deputy minister added.
