Tehran, Oct 29, IRNA � Visiting UN Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson on Wednesday discussed nuclear issues with Iran's top nuclear negotiator Abbas Araqchi in Tehran.
Eliasson is in Iran to discuss major regional and international issues in separate meetings with senior officials of the country .
The Swedish diplomat and Araqchi exchanged views on latest developments of Iran's nuclear talks with the world six powers (US, Britain, Russia, France and China plus Germany).

Earlier in the day, Eliasson took part in a ceremony to mark the 69th anniversary of the United Nations establishment.

Araqchi who is also Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs attended the ceremony during which Eliasson handed over UN's plaque of appreciation to the Iranian diplomat.

UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in Iran Gary Lewis as well as diplomats of other countries and representatives of domestic and international organizations were also present in the service.
