Tehran, Oct 22, IRNA Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Wednesday said any pause in the country's scientific process would be a backward step.
"Our progress speed is good but backwardness is so high that the pace of our progress is not sufficient and we must continue our efforts," the Leader said in a meeting with scientific elites.
"No elite will be attracted by an economy which is based on underground resources," Ayatollah Khamenei said criticizing dependence on the country's underground wealth.
The Leader stressed that Iran should be run by relying on intelligence and talents of its youth and elites not its underground resources such as oil.
