Painting Pool opens Iran cultural week in Tunisia

Iranian director Maziar Miris acclaimed filmPainting Poolhas opened the film section of Irans cultural week in Tunisia.
The film was screened for the Tunisian audiences with Arabic subtitles. The film producer Manouchehr Mohammadi attended the discussion panel held on October 16.

Iranian Cultural Festival in Tunisia was warmly received by Tunisians so far. The event opened at Abdalia Palace in the Tunisian capital last week.

Traditional Iranian music group Bidel ensemble conducted by the vocalist Hesameddin Seraj also performed at the opening gala.

Exhibiting Persian works of art such as paintings, calligraphy, illumination and traditional and regional Persian costumes are among the programs of the event.

Iranian Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Ali Jannati and his Tunisian counterpart, Mohamed Sakli signed two cooperation agreements during a meeting held along with the festival in Tunisia.

Jannati said the event will deepen ties between Tehran and Tunis, adding, "The participation of Iranian artists and this Cultural Week plays an important role in strengthening cultural ties between Iran and the brotherly Republic of Tunisia.

The first Iranian film week was held in the Tunisian capital city of Tunis in 2011, while the first Tunisia Cultural Week was presented in the Iranian capital city of Tehran in 2012.
