London, Oct 17, IRNA - The 1st Europe-Iran Forum concluded work in London on Thursday evening local time.
The gathering kicked off in London Wednesday morning.
The two-day event, organized by the European Voice aimed to properly prepare and evaluate the post-sanctions trade framework and investment opportunities.
Through the workshop discussions, the participants had the unique opportunity to debate and network with over 200 senior business executives from across sectors, as well as policy makers from Iran and Europe, on the opportunities and challenges represented by Iran's valuable and largely untapped marketplace.
A letter of support released by the IRI President's Chief of Staff Mohammad Nahavandian expressed hope that the forum would present information and opportunities for active international investors and facilitates competitive investments in various sectors of the Iranian economy.
Former UK foreign secretary Jack Straw and former French foreign minister Hubert Vedrine attended the London event and presented a lecture in support of removal of Iran's sanctions.
The event was highly welcomed by a large number of businessmen and private sector investors.
The forum provided the opportunity for over 300 Iranian and European experts and business owners to become better acquainted with each other, he added.
Following the historic Joint-Action Plan agreement reached by Iran and the Group 5+1 in November 2013, a series of economic sanctions were lifted, rekindling commercial interest in Iran throughout Europe.
