TEHRAN Sept 27 (Shana)--A senior official from Iran Petrochemical Commercial Company (IPCC) said talks are underway with representatives of major Japanese, European companies for the export of Iranian petchem output to destinations in Japan and Europe.
The IPCC executive director said most of the Japanese and European countries left Iran as sanctions intensifies on the country by the West and the US; however, they are expected to come back as the restrictions are shrinking for Iran.

Mehdi Sharifi Niknafs said the IPCC has undertaken serious talks with representatives of foreign companies at Iran Plast and new commercial transactions are hoped to be cemented between the IPCC and the companies for the export of Iranian petrochemicals on the sidelines of the exhibit.�

"IPCC is the greatest exporter of Iran after the National Iranian Oil Company," said Sharifi, adding that IPCC is currently exporting petchems to over 30 countries.�
Last year, IPCC made 35% of the country's petchem exports and is expected to add to its export share once sanctions are removed.�
He also underlined the upcoming European Petrochemical Association (EPCA) conference in Austria as an opportunity for Iran to expand its international relations in the industry, and expressed hope that groundbreaking agreements will be signed with foreign customers of petchems during the event.�

Iran Plast is running at Tehran's permanent fairgrounds and will wrap up on September 29. The showcase opened on Thursday September 16 in the presence of Petroluem Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh and many other government officials and petrochemical industrialists.
