The Islamic Republic of Iran and Kuwait on Tuesday signed the first ever joint political document between the two countries.
Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossain Amir Abdollahian and Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khalid Suleiman Al-Jarallah signed the document.

The two officials discussed ways to expand mutual relations and cooperation along with regional and global developments.

The Kuwaiti deputy foreign minister said that relations between the two countries are developing and underlined his country`s firm determination for expansion of all-out relations between the two nations.

Referring to regional developments and the significant contribution Iran makes to peace and security in Iraq and Syria, he called for expansion of mutual cooperation in fight with Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group.

The threats of Daesh on the countries in the region are very serious and continued talks and cooperation between the two countries is of prime importance, he said.

Iranian deputy foreign minister, Amir-Abdollahian said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is willing to develop all-out relations and cooperation with Kuwait as well as implementing the agreements already signed between the two countries.

The Islamic Republic of Iran from the early stages of formation of Daesh terrorist group gave a stern warning to its financial and political supporters and is determined to fight with the group regardless of the decision which might be taken by the US-led coalition.

The Iranian and Kuwaiti officials also discussed implementation of the already signed agreements, export of gas to Kuwait, easing formalities to issue visa for Iranian nationals, implementing security agreements, customs, air transport, protection of environment and boosting tourism industry.
