Back on August 30, European Union leaders chose former Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk to chair their Council.
He will govern the European body over the next five years.
In remarks following his election, Tusk had announced he would bring an energy to the post, adding that Poland was a country that believes in a united Europe.
