Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces Brigadier General Ahmad-Reza Pourdastan[/caption]TEHRAN (FNA)- The Iranian Army plans to unveil new domestically-made weapons and military hardware in the near future, a senior commander announced on Wednesday.
"We will unveil a cannoned personnel carrier and a 23-mm sniper rifle as two new products of the Army's Ground Force soon," Ground Force Commander Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan said on Wednesday.
He explained that Ground Force experts are now in the final stages of building the cannoned personnel-carrier.
As regards the capabilities of the 23-mm sniper rifle, General Pourdastan said, "This weapon is unprecedented in the world due to its power and capabilities."
He noted that the Iranian Ground Force experts are also working on a domestically-made tank dubbed as Samsam to optimize its movement and shooting capabilities.
