Iran supplies the Fajr-5 missiles to the Hamas movement through the territory of Sudan and Egypt, the American television channel CNN reports referring to Matthew Levitt, expert of the Washington Institute.
According to him, the fact that Hamas possesses the Fajr-5 missiles represents a serious threat to Israel's population and is the main cause of the escalation of theGaza conflict.
Iran denies the delivery of the Fajr-5missile to the Gaza Strip.
Hamas militants shot dead six people, whom they suspected of providing Israel with information about fighters location and rocket launching sites. The killing was carried out publicly in a large Gaza City intersection Tuesday, Al Arabia News has reported.
Those who witnessed the murder said a van stopped in the intersection, and four masked men pulled six people out of the vehicle. Then they ordered them to lie face down then shot them dead. By that time a mob filled in the street.
They should have been killed in a more brutal fashion so others dont even think about working with the occupation [Israel], said one of the bystanders, Ashraf Maher, 24.
One of the corpses was tied to a motorcycle and dragged through the streets as people screamed, Spy! Spy!
The Hamas military wing, Izzedine al-Qassam, claimed responsibility for the deadly action.
Musa Abu-Marzuq, Deputy Chairman of the Hamas Political Bureau, condemned the murder and said that suspected collaborators with Israel should be punished according to the law.
The killings came on the seventh day since Israel launched a military offensive on the Gaza Strip. The operation has killed more than 120 Palestinians, both militants and civilians.
