TEHRAN, Aug. 27 (MNA) Works by Iranian artist Mahmoud Zendeh Roudi will be on display at UN headquarters at the invitation of UN Dir. General in Geneva Michael Muller.
According to MNA, Mehrnaz Khakpouri, Zendeh Roudis art manager, stated that Zendeh Roudis works, as invited by Michael Muller, Director General of the UNin Geneva, will go on exhibition in the UN headquarters on 8-26 Sep., coinciding with the UN Human Rights Council'sinaugural session.
The artists new works titled "Human Dignity" are all inspired by the Iranian vision of human rights and dignity. Zendeh Roudi, living in France, has taken the inspiration for his main painting from the famous poem by Saadi, Human beings are members of a whole / In creation of one essence and soul and delivered it in three languages Persian, English and French; the painting is being unveiled for the first time in the UN.
Zendeh Roudi has been living in France for years, and has held various exhibitions in Iran, New York, Washington, Morocco, Hong Kong, Spain, Switzerland, Algeria, Canada, Cyprus and France.
He has recently donated 8 of his paintings inspired by Nezamis Seven Bodies to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tehran.
