TEHRAN (FNA)- Austrian Ambassador to Tehran Friedrich Stift voiced his country's willingness to set up car-manufacturing plant and assembly lines in Iran's Northwestern city of Tabriz.
"We have had talks with auto parts manufacturers on launching complete production lines to manufacture cars in Tabriz," the Austrian envoy said on Tuesday.
He stated that Austria is ready to cooperate with Iranian companies in various areas of trade and industries in the Nothwestern province of East-Azarbaijan, and said, "There seems to be favorable capacities for mutual cooperation in different sectors, specially in the mining sector in this province."

Several European countries, notably France, are jockeying for position in the Iranian market should full sanctions against the country eventually be dropped.
Earlier this week, Scandinavian automotive supplier body, FGK, said that it has a plan to dispatch a delegation to Iran early next year as the current sanctions regime against Tehran starts to loosen its grip.
Automotive industry in particular has been granted temporary relief from some of the West's harshest targeting, with the thaw having already seen French supplier association, FIEV, which visited Iran with a view to reviving Paris' historic partnership with Tehran, Just Auto reported.
Ahead of the trip, the FKG will host a session at its annual suppliers Forum in Gothenburg later this October, titled: "Iran - Old New Market" which the Iranian Ambassador will also attend.
