TEHRAN August 24 (Shana)--The gasoline production of Iranian refineries is expected to exceed 68 million liters a day by the end of the current Iranian calendar year to March 2015, said an oil industry official.
Saeed Mahjoubi, an official with the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) said, provided that certain development projects are completed in Abadan, Lavan and Bandar Abbas refineries, the production capacity of the country will surpass itself in gasoline output.
He said the production of Abadan Refinery will reach 12.5 ml/d by the time its third phase comes on stream by mid fall.
Moreover, Lavan refinery will produce 1.100 ml/d and Bandar Abbas refinery will offer 2 ml/d by the end of the current Iranian year.
Iran currently produces 62.8 ml/d which is expected to reach 68.3 ml/d by the end of the year.
Mahjoubi added that the gasoline produced in Bandar Abbas Refinery will comply with euro-4 standards.
